The origins of IGT date back to the early 1950s and only decided to go public in 1981 to start doing business on a global scale after the success of their revolutionary video poker machine product.
After several years IGT went through an extensive reinvention of itself and its products with the likes of the video poker machine, spinning-reel slot, Nevada Megabucks, S-Slots and a base top jackpot of $1 million. They also fulfilled their global vision by opening an office in Australia.
IGT boasts a number of honours including 1989 US Senate Productivity Award. They were also the developers of the popular Red, White & Blue and Double Diamond slots which are still played at Las Vegas Casinos today.
