Bally Slots
Bally Systems is part of the Scientific Games Corporation family who invented the first slot data system in 1976. Today they provide a full complement of products with technology that is sophisticated, flexible, stable and secure.
The original company was formed in 1968 known as Advanced Patent Technology.
At the time there was no connection to the gaming industry, instead, the focus was mainly on ultrasonic technologies, for which the group held many patents.
In 1979 the firm acquired United Coin Machine Company which operated slots in Nevada.
By 1983 the focus shifted entirely to the gaming industry merging with the slot machine manufacturer Cal Omega. Later the name of the firm changed to United Gaming Inc.
After restructuring and corporate buyouts over the years, in 1996 they merged with Bally Entertainment.
